How do I join the Roy Morgan Research Community?
Simply click 'Register' from the homepage. You then need to follow the prompts to complete the member profile survey. The information you provide is strictly confidential and once completed you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to complete your registration.
I have forgotten my username or password - what can I do?
Click on the "Forgot Your Password" link on the home screen, below the login page.
I haven't received my password reset email, is something wrong?
Please check your junk mail first and if you cannot find the reset email, please send an email to research-community@roymorgan.com for further assistance.
How can I update my address or other personal details?
To change or update your account details simply login to your account, navigate to 'My Account' and click 'Update now'.
How do I change my username/password?
The email address linked to your Research Community account is your username. We recommend you use a password which is memorable for you but hard for others to guess. You can change your password by clicking on the "Forgot Your Password" link on the home screen, below the login page.
What happens if I am inactive for 12 months or longer?
If you haven't logged in and completed a survey within the last 12 months, your account will be marked as inactive and may be closed. When this happens, you will lose your rewards balance and most of your profile information.
Before forfeiting your balance, we will send you emails prompting you to log in and update your profile information to verify that your account is still active. If you don't respond by logging in and participating, your account will be deemed inactive and may be closed.
Can I register for multiple Roy Morgan Research Community accounts?
You are permitted to sign up for one Roy Morgan Research Community account only.
Any breach of this may result in the balance of all of your accounts being forfeited, and all accounts being closed.
How do I close my account?

Surveys & activity
Where do I go to access online Surveys?
Once you log in, you will be able to navigate to the "Surveys" page to see if there are any surveys available to you. If there are any currently active surveys you will be able to click on the link to enter the survey.
You will also receive new surveys directly to your email address.
How many points do I get for completing an online Survey?
Most surveys are between 1.00 and 4.00 points depending on length and content. You will be told upfront in your survey invitation the amount of points being awarded for each survey.
What do I do if I've completed a survey but haven't been credited any points?
Let us know! If you believe that you have completed a survey that you have not been rewarded for and should have, please reach out to research-community@roymorgan.com with as much information as possible in order for us to help.
How can I check that I have been rewarded for surveys that I have completed?
When logged in head to the 'Rewards' tab for a full list of activities on your account, including surveys completed, points rewarded, and redemptions.
How do I sign up for the Roy Morgan Community App?
All information related to our Roy Morgan Community app can be found here. If you are interested in earning additional rewards by installing the Roy Morgan Community App, please email us at Research-Community@roymorgan.com.
How do I sign up to receive SMS surveys?
You can nominate to receive SMS surveys when completing your member profile, or by emailing your details to research-community@roymorgan.com.
How do I stop receiving SMS Questions?
If you no longer wish to participate via SMS simply send a reply SMS with the word STOP.
How long do I have to respond to an SMS Question?
Each SMS survey closes once we have enough responses. If you would like to take part please respond as soon as possible before the survey closes.
How to identify SMSs from Roy Morgan Research Community?
All text messages will begin with the words Research Community or Roy Morgan Research.
How do I answer SMS questions?
Most questions will be answered by replying to the SMS with a single letter answer, e.g. Research Community>Are you in paid employment? Y=Yes N=No. In this example reply to the SMS with the letters only e.g. Y or N.
Will the text message replies be charged at premium rates or standard rates?
You will be charged standard rates according to your current mobile plan.
Am I charged for receiving text messages from Research Community?

Rewards & redemptions
How do I redeem points?
To redeem your points for a reward you need to log into your Roy Morgan Research Community account. Once you are logged in navigate to the "Rewards" page and follow the prompts to select your preferred reward. As you earn points, you can redeem these points for a range of physical and e-gift cards, or even donate them to charity!
Why haven't I received my redemption?
It is likely that we are working on this behind-the-scenes, and simply haven't had enough time for to process your request. Different reward types require different time frames to process - these are shown to you at the time of selection. Depending on the type of reward that you have selected it may take a few days to process.
Is my charitable donation tax deductible? Can I have a receipt for the donation?
The donation is paid by Roy Morgan Research and is tax deductible to Roy Morgan Research. The value of the donation is neither assessable income to you, nor tax deductible.
Can I see proof that the charitable donation goes to the charity?
Roy Morgan proudly supports Life Be In It as its preferred charity partner. On request, we can provide details of additional organisations benefiting from donations made by participants in our Research Community. For administrative reasons, all donations are pooled and paid as an aggregated amount. Roy Morgan Research ensures that supported charities are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission. You can verify this on the ACNC Register.
How much have you donated?
Amounts donated are not disclosed by Roy Morgan Research and are generally not for publication unless the benefitting organisation chooses to release that information. The support program has been operated by Roy Morgan Research for many years. Contribution levels are to a large extent determined by the number of Research Community and other survey participants that select this option in lieu of receiving a reward.
